Charleston, South Carolina

Click "Read More" to see the rest

I want to preface this post by saying that the gardens I visited in South Carolina were some of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. I began the day at Magnolia Plantation, a historic family owned property outside of Charleston. After that, I paddled a small boat in the lake  at Cypress Gardens (apparently where the boat scene in The Notebook was filmed).

Charleston

"Give fools their gold and knaves their power,
Let fortune's bubbles rise and fall,
Who sows a field or trains a flower
or plants a tree, is more than all."

This butterfly was MASSIVE

Wow.

The reflection of the bridges on the dark water was even more spectacular in person.

And Cypress Gardens:

There goes mom putting her head in the alligator's mouth again. I can't leave her alone for a second!
