Savannah, Georgia

On the way to Georgia we went through Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida.

We listened to the Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil audiobook on the way to Savannah; It definitely got us in the "savannian mood." I recommend it to anyone looking for an entertaining book for a long drive.

 Interesting drain

The people of Savannah take their St. Patrick's Day Parade VERY seriously. It has its own building.

One of the beautiful squares. (Downtown Savannah is designed around several squares)

Mercer House, arguably the main character in the book Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil

This graffiti is so meta

We went to the Paula Deen store (!!!) and then ate at her restaurant, Lady and Sons.

Paula, Paula, Everywhere, Nor Any Drop to Drink

I almost bought one of these

 My Mother and Paula
"A few lines would be more than welcome while I am over here in this God forsaken hole."
Wow.

They gave out complementary pancake-esque goodies before dinner. Probably one of the best things I've had in my entire life.

 omg

  1. How exciting! I grew up in San Francisco but living in GA now. You should try and find Zunzis in Savannah if possible. Super delish sammiches.
